I thought I should share what META/FB thinks of the Izaak Walton League and the DAR - Daughters of the American Revolution. As you can seen in the post over the last few days the DAR were celebrating the 250th Anniversary of the reason they exist and the Izaak Walton Chapter was pleased to host this meeting for them while celebrating our 100th Year of existence Anniversary. So exhibiting, studying and firing Revolutionary period muskets is so DISGUSTING to META/FB that they have to send the notice included here in a photo.

And here is Club President Tom and INDPLS Officer Heidi firing the muskets. And Heidi's target, one shot by her and one by Alan earlier. Not bad for an almost 250 year old musket. A smooth bore weapon without a rear sight.

Our Chapter was honored to host the June 13th, 2026 meeting of the Frances Slocum Chapter of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution.

We will start with a few pictures. First is Alan and Jerry in period correct uniforms.
