What a fun-filled day for the South Central College Foundation yesterday! 🎃

We kicked off the day by participating in a campus-wide scavenger hunt, where students stopped by to spin the wheel and "trick-or-treat" for prizes! From snacks, food, and energy drinks to gift cards and household items, there was something for everyone. It was wonderful connecting with so many of our students and seeing their excitement.

In the afternoon, we headed to the Snell Trunk or Treat event with our theme: "No Tricks, Just Treats with Splash!" 🦦💙 Our South Central College mascot, Splash the Otter, was a huge hit, and it was so much fun watching the excitement and smiles from all the children and families who stopped by.
Days like these remind us how special our SCC community truly is. Thank you to everyone who helped make these events such a success!

🎃🚑 Will the REAL Ian Pearson please stand up?!

Our Paramedic students took Halloween to a whole new level this year by dressing up as their very own instructor, Ian Pearson!

Hawaiian shirts? ✅
Favorite Simply Tea? ✅
Signature beard? ✅
Even the iconic pose? ✅

They say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery… and we think Ian should be VERY flattered! 🤣

We love seeing our students have a little fun along the way! ❤️

The SCC Foundation had an amazing week attending the CASE Conference for community colleges in beautiful Palm Springs, California!

It was a week filled with learning, sharing ideas, building connections, and gaining new perspectives alongside colleagues from community colleges across the country.

We’re excited to bring these fresh ideas and insights back to South Central College as we continue to grow, strengthen our work, and make an even greater impact on our students and community.

Today, we had the pleasure of hosting a special luncheon for our nursing students who were selected to receive scholarships. Since these students were unable to attend our scholarship luncheon in September due to their clinical schedules, it was wonderful to have the opportunity to gather together and celebrate them today!

We are so proud of these dedicated students and all the hard work they are putting into their nursing education. A special thank you to the generous donors who make these scholarships possible and invest in the future of our healthcare professionals!

Last Thursday, the South Central College Foundation was excited to be part of Taste of Faribault! We had a great time handing out SCC canvas bags for guests to carry all their delicious goodies throughout the evening.

Chef Kevin and four of our talented SCC Culinary students were also there serving up tastings of Roasted Red Pepper & Butternut Squash Soup and Goat Cheese Apple Honey Tart—and both were absolutely delicious! 👨‍🍳🍏

It was a wonderful evening filled with local connections, delicious food and drinks, and plenty of SCC pride! We’re grateful for opportunities like this to connect with the community and showcase the incredible talent of our students.
