💜PURPLE FOR A PURPOSE: DOMESTIC VIOLENCE AWARENESS MONTH 💜
October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month (DVAM), a time to raise awareness, uplift the voices of survivors, and stand together against domestic violence.
Today is DVAM Day of Action, and officers and staff with the North Platte Police Department are wearing purple to show their support for survivors and help raise awareness about domestic violence.
Every survivor deserves to be heard, supported, and safe. By wearing purple, we stand in solidarity with survivors and remind our community that domestic violence is not something anyone should have to face alone.
Together, we can help break the silence, spread awareness, and build a safer community.
