PARENTING TIP: CATCH THE GOOD MOMENT

It’s easy to notice when a child needs a reminder. Today, try noticing something they did well—and name it.

Instead of “Good job,” try:
🗣️ “Thank you for putting your shoes away when I asked.”
🗣️ “I saw how patiently you waited for your turn.”
🗣️ “You kept trying, even when that was hard.”

A few specific words can help a child feel seen and understand what they did well.
