For over 37 years, The Senior Hub has been dedicated to serving the older adults of Adams County, and your unwavering support has been instrumental in our efforts. However, due to evolving attitudes towards supporting seniors, evident at every level of government and within foundational directives, we find ourselves faced with the difficult reality that continuing our operations is no longer sustainable.

Your support over the years has been nothing short of remarkable. Your contributions, whether financial assistance, valuable resources, or collaborative efforts, have enabled us to provide essential services, support, and resources to older adults, enriching their lives and fostering a sense of community within Adams County.

As we navigate this challenging transition, we want to express our deepest gratitude for your unwavering partnership and support. Your dedication to our cause has made a profound impact, and we are genuinely grateful for the trust you have placed in us.

Although the closure of The Senior Hub marks the end of an era, the legacy of our collective efforts will continue to resonate within the community for years to come. It is with the heavy heart that we pen this post to share some challenging news regarding the Meals-on-Wheels program that has been a beacon of hope and support for our older adult population here in Adams County. It is a great sadness that we must inform you that, due to lack of continued funding, we are forced to make the difficult decision to shut down the Meals-on-Wheels program as of December 31, 2023.

Over the years, the program has touched countless lives, fostering a sense of connection and offering a lifeline to those who needed it most. The smiles exchanged during meal deliveries, the friendship formed, and the comfort provided through a warm, nutritious meal have been the heart and soul of Meals-on-Wheels. It is a testament to the strength of our community and the commitment to ensuring that no one feels alone or hungry.

Unfortunately, despite our best efforts, the program has faced financial challenges that we, regrettably, cannot overcome. The decision to close Meals-on-Wheels was not made lightly, and it is one that weighs heavily on our hearts. We understand the impact that this will have on the lives of many, and we share in the sadness that comes with saying goodbye to program that has become a cherished part of our community fabric.

For over 37 years, The Senior Hub has served Adams County. We need your help now more than ever to continue that legacy of service to our older adult community. Thank you.
