We are a busy branch in the Northwestern San Fernando Valley. We are across the street from California State University, Northridge (CSUN).

The Northridge Branch Library is located on the corner of Darby Avenue and Nordhoff Street, between Reseda Boulevard and Lindley Avenue. We have an active Friends group and you may contact the Friends of the Northridge Branch Library at [email protected]. Mission Statement: The Los Angeles Public Library provides free and easy access to information, ideas, books and technology that enrich, educate and empower every individual in our city's diverse communities.

Hard at work prepping our playlists for Music Bingo: Songs of the 40s-70s. It takes place this Saturday, July 19 at 11:30 a.m., and all adults are welcome! No bingo or music experience required. We'll have some prizes and light refreshments, courtesy of the Friends of the Northridge Library!

AND you can still sign up for Summer with the Library, get a free book, be entered to win a $50 gift card, and be on your way to getting this year's Summer Reading tote! And, by the way, you have a good chance of winning the gift card, as we have one to give away for kids, one for teens, and one for adults!

There's still time to register for Summer With the Library, and we just got a new batch of Summer Reading registration prize books, thanks to the Friends of the Northridge Library! All ages can participate, and you receive a book and sticker sheet (while supplies last) for registering. After three weeks of participation, you get a super cool canvas tote! Participating is also very easy: you can either read for an hour each week or attend one library program per week.

Since up by this Saturday, July 19 to make sure you can get your three weeks in before the challenge ends on August 2. You can sign up online at lapl.org/summer or talk to us at the information desk. See you at the library!
