WE LIFT LA needs your support to help our former foster youth.
If you didn't get the opportunity to donate for , it's not too late! Your support is essential as our former foster youth experience the social and emotional impact of the holiday season. The holidays are especially difficult for our former foster youth as they are reminded of painful childhood memories, feelings of loneliness and are at an increased risk for depression. With your help, WE LIFT LA provides hope and support that our former foster youth so greatly need.

Your help is needed so that we can provide:
-mental health services
-food assistance
-holiday gift cards
-financial assistance for housing
-household supplies
-clothing
-books
-school supplies

WE LIFT LA also needs your support to implement our strategic plan for 2022; which is to work with formerly incarcerated former foster youth attending California State Northridge and former foster youth within the California prison system.

SURROGATE FATHERS/MENTORS
Tonight I had the privilege of introducing my Dad and son Tyson to my WE LIFT LA Men’s Group as we enjoyed an IN N OUT meal together. None of these outstanding young men (who are former foster youth) have ever had a father in their life. So we we able to talk candidly about our Father/Son relationships over the decades. It was a precious time shared together. It is a delight to be playing the role of a surroagate father/mentor in these young men’s lives! Absent from this pic tonight: Scott (Mentor); and two additional young men - Jose and Xavier.
