It is that time of the year again. It is Fire Prevention Week. Please talk to your kids about how to keep your family safe.
We will be having a Fire Prevention program at St. James Lutheran School Hall on Tuesday, October 13th at 6:30. Join us and learn something. You could walk away with some new, exciting prizes by the end of the night.

Welcome to the Northrop Fire Department, Owen Blaufuss! As Chief, I have the incredibly proud honor of announcing that my son has officially joined our ranks. After checking the books, he is officially one of the youngest applicants we have had on record.

The fire service is much more than just a department; it is a second family. We are a close-knit group of dedicated people who put our absolute trust in the person standing next to us on every single call. To see Owen step up with such a strong passion for serving this community, and to welcome him into this incredible family, is a truly special moment. We are thrilled to have him on the team.

Roger has been a pinnacle in the Fire community in the surrounding area. A very involved asset to us all. From training, expertise, and willingness to be involved at such a high level. He will be missed, but is well-deserving of his retirement. We wish you luck Roger. Thank you for your service.

This week is Severe Weather Awareness Week. Coincidently, we are expected to see some severe weather throughout the week.
We wanted to share with you that on Thursday, April 16th, there will be 2 scheduled statewide siren tests. 1:45pm and 6:45pm. In the event that severe weather is to develop on Thursday, they may forego the tests. We just wanted you to be aware of that schedule. Stay safe and be alert.

Our fundraising efforts were a success! Although not everyone won a ham, you are all winners in our book.
The number of people we had in attendance exemplifies the community spirit and support towards our fire departments efforts of fundraising towards the purchase of new equipment and training.
We would also like to recognize those that could not be there but wanted to donate. We received donations from the Koeritz Family and Tammy Becker from On-Site Massage Therapy.
All of our prizes came from Fareway Stores of Fairmont. They have been very good to us over the years and we want to recognize that.
A special thanks to B**R 30 of Northrop for hosting our fundraiser.

Bart, your dedication to the Northrop Fire Department and the community of Northrop has been nothing short of heroic. We are going to miss your experience and your humor around the stationhouse. Enjoy every minute of your retirement!
