πŸ’™ Last night, we continued our "From Grief to New Hope" 8-Week Workshop with Week 6: β€œMy Family’s Not the Same.”

Grief can change family dynamics in ways we never expected. Relationships may shift, roles may look different, and each family member may navigate their grief in their own way. These changes can be difficult to understand, especially when everyone is trying to adjust to life after loss.

A heartfelt thank you to Rick Schulkey for joining us and sharing his insight on this important topic. We are grateful for his willingness to help participants better understand the ways grief can affect families and remind them that they are not alone in navigating these changes.

At New Hope, we recognize that grief affects more than just the individual. It can change the way families communicate, connect, and support one another. Creating space for these conversations helps us better understand ourselves and each other as we find our way forward. πŸ’™

πŸŽƒπŸ‚ At this month’s Family Friday, our kids decorated pumpkins with colors, designs, and memories inspired by their loved ones. They also colored memory trees, reflecting on the special people who will always hold a place in their hearts. These creative activities offered a meaningful way to remember, express feelings, and celebrate the connections that remain. πŸ’™

At New Hope, we believe that children deserve a safe place to express their feelings, connect with others who understand, and discover that they are not alone in their grief. We are so grateful for the families who join us each month!

πŸ’™ Join us for our next Family Friday on November 13! In honor of Children's Grief Awareness Month, we'll be creating a special craft to recognize and support grieving children.

πŸ’™ Last night, we continued our β€œFrom Grief to New Hope” 8-Week Workshop with a meaningful conversation about navigating holidays and other special days after the loss of a loved one.

A heartfelt thank you to Susan Martin for sharing her personal journey through the loss of her spouse and reminding us that there is no right or wrong way to approach these days. Whether you choose to celebrate, create new traditions, or simply give yourself space to grieve, you deserve the freedom to honor your loss in whatever way feels right for you.

Thank you, Susan, for sharing your story and helping others feel a little less alone. πŸ’™
