🏗️ OUT WITH THE OLD!
Another massive piece of the Creamery’s history comes down!
Today, we tackled one of the biggest and heaviest remnants of the Creamery’s industrial past!
This enormous, rust-covered steel structure is called a boiler breeching. Back when the Creamery was operational, it carried hot smoke and exhaust gases from the massive boilers to the towering brick smokestack outside.
And when we say enormous, we mean it! 😳
This monster weighs approximately 1,750 POUNDS! That’s nearly a TON of steel that’s been hanging above our heads for decades!
Getting it down was no small task. With some heavy equipment, careful maneuvering, and teamwork, another major obstacle is officially out of the way. Thanks Bob and Scotty!
Every piece we remove brings us one step closer to transforming this historic Boiler Room into a one-of-a-kind gathering place while preserving the incredible history that makes this building so special.
More than a century of history. One massive transformation. 🍻
Stay tuned. There’s a LOT more coming at The Creamery!
