The Norwood Health Department still has High Dose Flu Vaccine available for ages 65 and older.
There will be another walk-in clinic at the Senior Center on Wednesday Oct 21 and Friday Oct 23rd from 9 a.m.–11 a.m. Insurance Cards are required, no appointments are needed.

Great news for Norwood!

We are thrilled to share that the Town of Norwood has been awarded $1,149,300 from the MBTA Communities Catalyst Fund, courtesy of the Healey-Driscoll Administration and the Executive Office of Housing & Livable Communities!

These funds will directly support the upcoming Lenox St. Improvements project, including new sidewalks and water linings, helping us continue to invest in our infrastructure and strengthen our community.

Stay tuned for updates as the project gets underway.

09.24.2026 A message from the Mass DOT:

Advisory: Norwood Roadwork on Route 1 between the Walpole and Westwood Town Lines
Nightly, Sunday through Thursday, beginning Sunday, September 27, through Thursday, November 5, from 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. the following morning.

NORWOOD - The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) is announcing that it will be performing roadwork on Route 1 northbound and southbound between the Walpole and Westwood town lines in Norwood. Nightly work is scheduled Sunday through Thursday from 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. the following morning, beginning Sunday, September 27, through Thursday, November 5. Work is anticipated to be completed by Friday morning, November 6.

Lane closures on Route 1 northbound and southbound will be in place. Temporary traffic alterations, including lane and shoulder closures, will occur as needed. At least one lane of travel will be maintained at all times, and police will assist with traffic control and safety setups.

Appropriate signage and messaging will be in place to guide drivers through the work area.

Drivers traveling through the affected area should expect delays, reduce speed, and use caution.

All scheduled work is weather dependent and subject to change without notice.
