Southern New Hampshire DSA Southern New Hampshire chapter of the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA). We're a grassroots, member-led organization fighting for a better future!

Join the largest socialist organization in the country, and make a difference in your community! The New Hampshire chapter of the Democratic Socialists of America (NH DSA) is a multi-issue activist group working locally to expand the possibilities of democracy in New Hampshire and push for shared ownership of power and resources. We are socialists because we reject an economic order based on private profit, alienated labor, gross inequalities of wealth and power, discrimination based on race and s*x, and brutality and violence in defense of the status quo. We are socialists because we share a vision of a humane social order based on popular control of resources and production, economic planning, equitable distribution, feminism, racial equality and non-oppressive relationships. We are socialists because we are developing a concrete strategy for achieving that vision, for building a majority movement that will make democratic socialism a reality in America. We believe that such a strategy must acknowledge the class structure of American society and its basic conflict of interest between those sectors with enormous economic power and the vast majority of the population. Socialism is not a scary word. It is a viable alternative to a capitalist system that benefits few and burdens many. We work in our own communities to transform New Hampshire’s conception of socialism and the possibilities of our state through organized efforts in three parts: policy, education, and service. Through a multilateral, broad-based approach we seek to collaborate with all types of activists and achieve material gains for vulnerable communities here at home. Members come from every reach of the granite state and cross demographic lines. Our differences in experience fuel our ability to achieve our shared vision - a radical expansion of democracy in all spheres of life. Join us in building a New Hampshire that works for all! The Democratic Socialists of America is the largest socialist organization in the United States, and the principal U.S. affiliate of the Socialist International. DSA's members are building progressive movements for social change while establishing an openly democratic socialist presence in American communities and politics.

Today marks the anniversary of Ernesto "Che" Guevara's ex*****on at the hands of right-wing forces in Bolivia. Che was a revolutionary, a citizen of the world, and his legacy continues to influence the socialist movement from New Hampshire to Palestine.

We honor the sacrifices and victories of our immortal comrade, and encourage you to read Che's writings over the weekend. To this day, Cuba is still battling U.S. imperialism. We must all unite and build bridges across the world, just as Che and other Cuban revolutionaries did. No one is free until we are all free!

Stop the siege on Cuba! Free Palestine! A better world is possible 🌹

On Tuesday, SNHDSA joined the Nashua Public Library Employees Union (NPLE) at a rally in downtown Nashua to let the working class know we deserve more! SNHDSA members also spoke at the Library Board of Trustees meeting to support NPLE.

NPLE has been without a contract for 98 days. Amidst proposed renovations to the library, the union has been unable to secure a fair contract, leading to uncertainty for its workers.

During the rally we interviewed some NPLE members, including union Co-President and SNHDSA member Mark King, about what they’re asking for in a fair contract, what their message to Nashua residents is, and what you can do to help. As socialists, we believe in stronger labor laws, workplace democracy, and job security for all. We will continue to support the NPLE until they secure a fair contract!

Workers of New Hampshire unite! 🌹

Israel’s genocide did not begin three years ago, and it will continue as long as Democrats and Republicans enable the Zionist entity and its crimes against humanity. We affirm, in alignment with AlThawabit (the inviolable rights of Palestinians) and international law, upholding Palestinians’ rights to resist occupation in order to secure justice and dignity. The Israeli occupation will continue to violate international law no matter who runs the so-called country, and the oxymoron 'liberal Zionism' will not create a more equitable occupation or apartheid state.

As one of the largest anti-Zionist organizations in the country, we proudly stand with the people of Palestine and will not stop organizing for their freedom. We will not support a politician unless they fight for a one-state solution, a full arms embargo, and other important anti-Zionist measures. We will make New Hampshire divest from this genocidal regime and end the U.S. empire entirely. Just as South African apartheid fell, so will Zionism, but we need to continuously fight for a better world.

From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free 🇵🇸 🌹

Due to inclement weather, we will be postponing our community cleanup in Seabrook, and will let everyone know when we get a new date on the calendar!

Thank you for your patience, and solidarity 🌹

Yesterday, Southern New Hampshire DSA traveled to Bow, NH to help our community say no to data centers in our state!

Never forget, capitalism loves data centers! DSA knows we need a data center moratorium, and that the oligarchy must be reined in by socialist policies.

We know how to stop data centers, our policies are widely popular with the masses, and our position is not that radical. We will continue to fight for a better world, and support our community in fighting against the destruction of our planet!

These past few days, we've been tabling all around the state, and letting Granite Staters know socialism beats fascism!

First, we tabled at UNH to help the Palestine Solidarity Coalition with their divestment campaign. Then we tabled at the Nonviolence Festival in Concord, where we passed out zines detailing how labor unions can help stop the genocide against Palestinians, and raised awareness about our Justice for Nickenley campaign to fight against police violence. And finally, we tabled at Keene Pride to let our community know q***r liberation will not be suppressed!

Thank you to everyone that stopped by our table to learn more about socialism
