Crescent City council tells Cal Trans it supports the “tunnel option” for fixing Del Norte County’s Last Chance Grade, a winding section of Highway 101 that is often blocked by landslides. Cal Trans said last year that the road could be fixed with a mile-long tunnel that would cost more than $2 billion. The troubled throughway is the only viable route from Klamath to Crescent City.

It was gratifying to see ten retired FBI directors and experts in counter intelligence warning about the border crisis. In a chilling letter, the former FBI directors say this:
“In its modern history the U.S. has never suffered an invasion of the homeland, and, yet, one is unfolding now. Military age men from across the globe, many from countries or regions not friendly to the United States, are landing in waves on our soil by the thousands.”
I said the same thing to an audience in Petaluma last year, calling the border crisis “issue number one.”

Drug users steal up to 10 pints of ice cream a day from San Francisco ice cream store, and the owner doesn’t even call the police any more. “They come in, and they start harassing customers, go straight to the pint freezer and leave,” he says.
