All October long, we’re celebrating National School Principal Month by spotlighting our amazing school leaders! Next up in our leadership spotlight is Principal Dr. Kessa Early at Marin Oaks High School and NOVA Independent Study.

"During Principal Recognition Month, we are proud to recognize Dr. Kessa Early and the incredible impact she makes on our students, staff, and school community.
Dr. Early leads with compassion, passion, and a genuine commitment to helping every student succeed. She has a special ability to see the potential in each student and, just as importantly, to help them see that potential in themselves. She makes sure our students know that they matter, that they are valued, and that their future is worth working toward.
Her determination to support students goes far beyond academics. She takes the time to understand their individual needs, connects them with resources and opportunities, celebrates their successes, and continues encouraging them when things are difficult. She creates an environment where students feel supported while also being challenged to believe in themselves and reach higher.
That same care extends to her staff. Dr. Early is uplifting, encouraging, and generous about sharing resources and ideas. She recognizes the work of those around her and brings an energy that reminds us that while the work we do is important, there should also be room for laughter, connection, and fun.
What makes Dr. Early's leadership so meaningful is the heart she brings to it. She doesn't simply want students to graduate—she wants them to understand their worth, recognize what they are capable of, and leave our school believing in themselves."
