Today, as I reflect on this campaign, I’m filled with gratitude. Thank you to everyone who supported, encouraged, and believed in me along the way.

This journey has been about my love for Michigan State and my commitment to making it stronger. I’m especially grateful for my family, who have stood by me every step of the way.

Go Green! 💚🤍

Looking back at some of the moments from this final last week on the campaign trail. Conversations and incredible people who have made this campaign so meaningful. From meeting Spartans across Michigan to hearing your concerns, sharing ideas, and talking about the future of Michigan State, every stop has reminded me why I stepped into this race.

Let’s bring common sense leadership back to the MSU board.

Alumni, parents, students. Most voters have no idea what's really happening on the MSU Board of Trustees. Now you can share this with family, friends and those who care about MSU! Take a moment and read this!!!

Step back and look at the last seven days at Michigan State. The two incumbents asking for your vote on Tuesday just had about the worst week a candidate can have.

My family bleeds green and white! Michigan State has been such an important part of our family’s story, and seeing my daughter proudly wearing her MSU varsity jacket reminds me of just how much this university means to so many Michigan families.

Go Green! 💚 Go White! 🤍

Watching my two Spartan Strong Graduates, arms around each other, singing “Shadows,” is a reminder of what makes Michigan State so special. As a mom, there’s nothing better than seeing your children share that Spartan pride and connection that goes beyond a degree. It’s tradition, pride, and a family that lasts a lifetime. MSU deserves a Board that honors that legacy, puts the university first, and works to make it stronger for future generations.

From game day excitement to meaningful conversations at Spartan Voter Fest, it was great connecting with Spartans about MSU’s future. It’s time to get our university back on track with stronger leadership, transparency, and accountability. Go Green 💚 Go White🤍

It’s been a busy and productive few weeks connecting with communities, leaders, and organizations across Michigan and beyond!

Highlights include participating in a John James Education Roundtable with the Governor of Mississippi to discuss the “Mississippi Miracle,” celebrating the opening of the GOP office in Grosse Pointe with RNC Chairman Joe Gruters, speaking engagements with Manistee and Kalamazoo Counties and numerous local organizations, attending the Western Wayne Leadership Banquet, celebrating the opening of a Detroit office for Mike Rogers, and participating in multiple candidate forums.

These are just a few of the many opportunities to engage with people, exchange ideas, hear different perspectives.

Thank you to everyone who has welcomed me, organized these events, and taken the time to connect. There’s so much happening across Michigan, and I’m grateful for every opportunity to be part of the conversation!

POSSE, the organization founded in 2018 by parents of survivors of Larry Nassar’s sexual abuse, has spent years trying to get someone to listen to them about this very issue. I am honored to have their endorsement.

They see what I see. It’s 2026, and it is unfathomable that an op-ed like this still needs to be written. The dysfunction and chaos surrounding the current Board are symptoms of a much deeper problem: the failure to establish clear, written policies and rules that hold people accountable.

This is also one of the reasons Mike Balow was elected in 2024. I believe the public is finally beginning to understand that it is time for a new generation of leadership on the Board, and that those who served between 2016 and 2024 should no longer be in those seats.

This is absolutely another reason I am running. Students deserve a voice. Sexual assault survivors deserve a voice. And clear, enforceable rules regarding sexual misconduct should have been established a long time ago.

MSU trustee Rema Vassar refuses to certify sexual misconduct reports until the board defines its oversight policy.

I had the opportunity to speak to and mentor Detroit youth at an event with Sankofa, a nonprofit organization that supports Black children and students through scholarships, educational opportunities, and youth leadership programs.

I couldn’t think of a better way to spend an an evening than investing in our young people and helping them develop the leadership skills they need to succeed!
