We have rain and storms coming - we may be on the cusp/edge so it depends which way the storm moves as to rainfall and other possible severe weather.

Please have weather warnings on overnight tonight and have your cell phones fully charged.

The last LEPC meeting of the year will be tomorrow October 14 at 2pm at the Courthouse Annex meeting room.

The LEPC is the Local Emergency Planning Committee where we try to bring together all who would likely be involved in a disaster so we know who we are working with, and what our capabilities are BEFORE we have a disaster.

All are welcome to attend.

A slight risk of severe weather exists Sunday afternoon and evening for parts of eastern OK as a cold front drops southeast into the region. A marginal risk of severe storms exists across northwest AR, mainly late afternoon into the evening. Damaging wind and isolated large hail are the main threats. A locally heavy rain threat also exists across eastern Oklahoma.

Finally our much needed rain but coming in with some storms. Stay weather aware!

Finally our much needed rain but coming in with some storms. Stay weather aware!

Severe weather is back in the forecast today.

Storms are expected to develop this afternoon, with activity increasing around 3 PM. Once storms get going, some could quickly become strong to severe.

Damaging winds and large hail will be the main concerns, but we’ll be watching closely for any storms that can become more organized.

This won’t rain everywhere, but if you get underneath one of these storms, it could pack a punch.
