Monday night at the O’Fallon City Council meeting, four of our O’Fallon Police officers and four of our Paramedics were awarded with Life Save Awards due to their cooperation on a call that occurred in May of 2026.

We are very happy to share that he has since made a full recovery.

This is a great example of what can happen when trained people, the right equipment, and a fast response all come together. From the first officers through the door to the paramedics who continued his care on the way to the hospital, every minute mattered.

Congratulations to Paramedics Terry Sill, Donovan Knapp, Ryan Hodge, Marty Nungesser (Not Pictured), and Officers Kathy Effan, Scott Votrain, Brett Johnson, and Ty Matzenbacher, who were recognized last night. Their actions helped give this man another chance at life, and we are extremely proud of them.

Happy Father’s Day to all the amazing dads on our team and throughout our community!

Today, we celebrate the fathers who dedicate their lives not only to serving others through EMS but also to being role models, mentors, and heroes at home. Whether they’re responding to emergencies, working long shifts, or spending quality time with their families, these dads exemplify commitment, strength, and compassion every day.

Thank you for the sacrifices you make, the lessons you teach, and the love you share with your children. We are proud to recognize and celebrate the incredible fathers of our EMS family.
