7th graders in math partnered with Texas Roadhouse to put their percents unit into action. The Texas Roadhouse simulation brought to life the concepts of tax, tip, and discount with a surprise visit from Andy the Armadillo. What a fun day of learning and a special thank you to Oak Creek Texas Roadhouse for their donations, coupons, and support each year!

On Friday, October 2nd, the Chinese Club held its first meeting of the school year and celebrated the Chinese Moon Festival!

Students enjoyed authentic toasted dried fruit and flower tea, as well as red tea, brewed and served in beautiful traditional Chinese tea sets. They also tasted lotus seed paste and non traditional spicy mooncakes.

The students shared with Mrs. Yin how much they enjoyed the tea and mooncakes. It was a wonderful first meeting, and everyone is already looking forward to next month’s Chinese Club!
