Tonight members participated in a refresher of our medical equipment and what information is needed during a medical incident. This ensures our members stay familiarized with the equipment, and also allows our newer members to gain some additional knowledge of it prior to responding.

This evening members practiced some hands on training deploying and advancing hoselines. Since we recently purchased new nozzles and hose, this training not only helps members to keep their skills sharp, but to also help them familiarize themselves with the new equipment.

On this day, 25 years ago, the lives of thousands of people changed forever. We pause to remember the innocent lives lost, the brave and selfless bystanders who ran towards the chaos to help in any way possible, and the police and first responders who put their lives on the line to save as many people as they could. We will never forget.

Congratulations Firefighter Larrea on passing the NREMT exam and becoming an EMT. As an EMT Larrea will be able to assess and stabilize patients. Congrats on accomplishing this goal!

On Wednesday, September 2, 2026, at approximately 3:31 p.m., the Oak Grove Fire Department responded to assist Hopkinsville-Christian County EMS (Medic 12) with a medical incident requiring air medical transport. The patient was stabilized and transferred to Air Evac Lifeteam 151 out of Clarksville.
