🎃 What a spooktacular night at Hillcrest Elementary’s Boo Bingo Family Fun Night! 👻
Our school was packed with amazing costumes, huge smiles, and so much Halloween spirit! Families had a blast playing competitive rounds of Bingo, winning awesome prizes, and enjoying delicious treats at our concession stands. Seeing the kids (and parents!) dressed up and having fun together made all the hard work worth it.
A huge thank you to all of our Hillcrest families for your overwhelming support—and especially for your patience with the food and prize lines! We had such an unbelievable turnout this year, and we truly appreciate your grace and good humor while our team worked hard to keep things moving.
Events like this wouldn't be possible without our wonderful volunteers and our supportive community. Thank you for making this Boo Bingo one for the books!

🎨 Student Voice & Creativity in Action! 🎃
Check out these Facebook post graphics created by our 4th graders to promote last Friday’s Boo Bingo! 🎟️👻
After completing a Canva Elements Tutorial during their weekly technology class, students were offered a challenge: design a promotional Facebook graphic for the school. They brought their ideas to digital life and completely blew us away!
At Hillcrest, we love creating opportunities for our students to share their voice, showcase their creativity, and take part in their school community. We’re excited to give our kids even more opportunities to design future school posters, flyers, and other graphics.
Scroll through to see their amazing work! 👇✨

🎉 𝐓𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐛𝐲 𝐝𝐚𝐲, 𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐧 𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐝 𝐛𝐲 𝐰𝐞𝐞𝐤𝐞𝐧𝐝! 🏃‍♀️💨
Huge congratulations to Hillcrest’s very own 1st grade teacher, 𝐍𝐢𝐤𝐤𝐢 𝐋𝐞𝐢𝐭𝐡, on an absolutely incredible performance at the 𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐠𝐨 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐧 Sunday morning!
Mrs. Leith tackled the 26.2-mile course in a mind-blowing 𝟐 𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬, 𝟓𝟔 𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐮𝐭𝐞𝐬, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝟒𝟓 𝐬𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐬—averaging a blazing 𝟔:𝟒𝟔 𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐮𝐭𝐞 𝐩𝐞𝐫 𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐞 pace from start to finish!
Check out these stellar stats:
✨ 𝐓𝐨𝐩 𝟒% finisher out of all 55,000 runners
✨ 𝐓𝐨𝐩 𝟏% finisher out of all female runners
And because teachers truly have super powers, she got on a plane a few hours after the marathon and 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐛𝐚𝐜𝐤 𝐢𝐧 𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐜𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐫𝐨𝐨𝐦 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 with her 1st graders—less than 24 hours after crossing the finish line! 🍎✨
We are so proud of you, Mrs. Leith! Thank you for showing our students what hard work, dedication, and perseverance look like in action.

💞Our students and staff were so thrilled to be able to wish a 𝗛𝗮𝗽𝗽𝘆 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗱𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗔𝗽𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗗𝗮𝘆 to two of the very best—𝗠𝗿. 𝗚𝗲𝗼𝗿𝗴𝗲 𝗪𝗼𝗹𝗰𝗼𝘁𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗠𝗿. 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗹𝗲𝘀 𝗛𝗲𝘆𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗺𝗮𝗻! We treated them to cookie plates, handmade cards, gift cards and kind words of appreciation and gratitude!

While so much of what they do happens before the morning bell rings or long after the last student leaves, their hard work is felt every single second of the school day. From keeping our classrooms, halls, and lunchroom sparkling clean to fixing anything that breaks to greeting our kids with warm smiles in the hallways, Mr. George and Mr. Charles make our school a safe, welcoming, and beautiful place to learn and grow. 𝗧𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗸 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗱𝗼! 𝗪𝗲 𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂!
