Imagine opening your phone and seeing this screen: "Your application has been completed."

That simple confirmation marks a pivotal moment—not just for you, but for the future of your entire family.

Education changes everything. Earning your degree or vocational certificate doesn’t simply unlock a new career path; it builds financial independence, breaks generational cycles, and shows your dependents what is possible when determination meets opportunity.

The Soroptimist Live Your Dream Award provides cash grants directly to women who are working toward a brighter tomorrow. Unlike many scholarships, these funds can be used for whatever you need to stay in school—including tuition, books, childcare, groceries, or reliable transportation.

Are you eligible? You qualify to apply if you:
* Are a woman who provides the primary financial support for yourself and your dependents.
* Are enrolled in or have been accepted into an undergraduate degree program or a vocational/skills training program.
* Have financial need.

Deadline to apply: November 15

Education is far more than a milestone; it is a critical pathway to safety. When women and girls are educated, they have the skills to command decent wages and the resources to escape unsafe relationships sooner.

Unfortunately, the deep psychological and physical wounds of abuse frequently disrupt a woman's academic journey, making it incredibly difficult to hold onto her aspirations. Escaping a toxic environment is a monumental feat on its own, but finding the stability to actually enter a higher education classroom or vocational program afterward is a reality very few survivors get to experience.

Through our initiative, we are actively working to change that narrative by removing the barriers that stand between survivors and their degrees.

Financial abuse occurs in a staggering 99% of domestic violence cases, serving as a hidden but devastating mechanism of control where abusers sabotage their partner's financial resources. The trauma of this economic suppression acts as a massive roadblock to a woman's educational aspirations, often forcing her to abandon her dreams.

Overcoming these barriers is a monumental challenge; a heartbreakingly small percentage of survivors are able to successfully escape the cycle of abuse, and an even smaller number ever get the chance to pursue higher education.

Our quarterly initiative is dedicated to removing these precise obstacles that prevent women from achieving their formal education and economic potential.

By investing in programs like the Live Your Dream: Education and Training Awards, Soroptimist donors and members provide critical resources that help women achieve brighter futures for themselves and their families.

Intimate partner violence is devastatingly common for women and girls around the globe. In fact, nearly 1 in 3 women will experience intimate partner violence during their lifetime.

This kind of trauma often derails educational goals, leaving women struggling to reclaim their dreams. Only a fraction of survivors manage to ever break free from these cycles, and even fewer go on to pursue higher education.

We invite you to join us in our mission to support women and girls. Together, we can drive extraordinary change and breathe life into transformative programs that make a global impact.
