Santa Maria Fire Department

Your Santa Maria Fire Department had some special visitors at Fire Station 3 off Preisker Lane. 🚒🌳

A local daycare had the opportunity to tour the fire station, learn about the day to day life of a Santa Maria firefighter, and talk about fire safety and emergency plans should an emergency occur. And, of course, no fire station visit would be complete without getting to spray some water! 💦

We’re grateful for the opportunity to support our community, connect with our neighbors, and share a little bit about what we do every day.

If you or a local group would like to visit your neighborhood fire station and learn more about what we do, please reach out to your local station.

Thanks for stopping by, and we hope to see you again soon! 😄

Santa Maria City Fire Department was happy to send fire personnel and one of our new Type 6 engines to prescribed wildland burns in SLO County this past week. 🌲🔥

Crews have been able to keep the fires in check, work on wildland skills and familiarize themselves with the new apparatus, which we now have two in our fleet.

The City of Santa Maria remained fully covered while this special assignment was being carried out.
