Great news for Contra Costa families: Youth Ride Free is back this summer!

No application. No ID. No special pass. Just hop on and go!

This countywide program was made possible in part because of contributions from Contra Costa County Supervisors Diane Burgis and Shanelle Scales-Preston to ensure every student or child in the county has access to free transit this summer.

Yes, that means everyone 18 and under can ride County Connection (Central Contra Costa Transit Authority) Tri Delta Transit, and WestCAT buses for free from June 1 through July 31.

Why are we doing this? Because Youth Ride Free gives students more independence and gives parents one less ride to coordinate.

Whether it is getting to a summer job, the library, parks, activities, shopping, or time with friends, this program helps young people stay connected across Contra Costa County.

The program is also supported by CCTA through Measure J, as well as state funding sources (LCTOP) for WestCat.

Thank you to everyone who joined us at the second community workshop for the SR 29 – American Canyon Corridor Improvement Project! 🚧

Yesterday, community members gathered at American Canyon City Hall to learn more about proposed improvements along the SR 29 corridor, ask questions, and share valuable feedback that will help shape the future of this important roadway.

This collaborative effort between NVTA, the City of American Canyon, and Caltrans continues to build on community input to improve safety, mobility, and connectivity for all who travel through the corridor.

We appreciate everyone who took the time to participate and help move this project forward.
