The Alameda County Sheriff’s Office was proud to be represented by members of our Motor Unit (Deputies Scott Butler and Brian Campagna) during the 2026 Police Unity Tour.

The Police Unity Tour brings law enforcement officers from across the country together to honor fallen officers, support their families and survivors, and ensure their sacrifices are never forgotten.

Our members participated in multiple events and escorts throughout the tour, including assisting with the families of fallen officers. It was a meaningful and humbling experience, and our members were honored to represent Alameda County alongside agencies from across the nation.

Thank you to the community members, businesses, and supporters who helped make our members’ participation possible.

We ride for those who died.

On Sunday, May 24, the Manteca USA Boxing Championship event witnessed a spectacular display of talent and heart. Representing the Deputy Sheriff’s Athletic League (DSAL), 15-year-old boxer AlleyBella Alvarez-Cruz stepped into the ring and walked out a true champion.

AlleyBella has dedicated nearly three years to DSAL Boxing, training hard under the guidance of her coach, Captain T. Montigue – supported by Coach Geri. This fight was personal. She was determined to avenge a controversial loss from her April 2026 amateur debut against an opponent from Sacramento.
With focus and absolute resolve, AlleyBella dominated every single round of the rematch. Her skill and relentless drive left no doubt in the judges' minds, earning her a well-deserved Championship victory!

AlleyBella shines just as bright outside the ring. She exemplifies true dedication by maintaining a high GPA in school, performing as the lead singer for her mariachi band, and playing multiple musical instruments. On top of all these achievements, she is trilingual, speaking English, Spanish, and Mandarin.

We are immensely proud to call her a DSAL Boxing Champion and can’t wait to see her defend her title at our upcoming DSAL Boxing "THROWDOWN IN THE HAYSTACK!” Mark your calendars for July 25, 2026, for a full day of action-packed amateur boxing featuring DSAL Boxers and northern California's best future champions, including AlleyBella in her highly anticipated trilogy match against her Sacramento rival!

For location and tickets, visit ACDSAL.org.

Keep shining and making us all proud, AlleyBella!

Memorial Day is for remembering the service members who gave their lives in military service to this country, and for recognizing the weight of that sacrifice carried by the people who loved them. Their dedication, sense of duty, and pride in serving others leave a legacy that deserves our continued remembrance.

As we move through this day, we invite our community to pause for a moment of remembrance, to reflect on the lives behind the uniforms, the families forever changed, and the sacrifice that made this day of freedom and gathering possible.

Let us remember them today.
