Berkeley City Council will vote at its next meeting about whether to allow denser development in Southside, the area just south of the UC Berkeley campus. The Council is considering a set of changes that will raise the maximum allowed heights for new buildings and modify several other zoning rules to allow for denser housing across this transit-rich area.
