Although the Registrar of Voters office will be closed Monday, vote centers will remain open so you can vote early. You can also cast your ballot at numerous Ballot Drop Stop locations around the County. Be sure to vote!

Our office will be closed Monday, May 25th, 2026, in observance of Memorial Day. Vote centers will remain open.

Alameda County Public Works Agency plans to resurface multiple roadways in Castro Valley from mid-April through May. The roadways include Redwood Road (Castro Valley Boulevard to Charlene Way), and the full lengths of Columbia Drive, Brecon Court, Independent School Road, Lobert Street, and Tanglewood Drive.

Work on Redwood Road will be performed at night, generally between 9:00 PM and 5:00 AM. Work on the other roadways will be performed during daytime hours, generally between 8:30 AM and 4:30 PM.
