• Pack your patience for holiday traffic and drive alert
• Bring water, stay cool, and take breaks from the heat
• Fireworks are illegal in Alameda County. Skip the sparks and help prevent fires this weekend.

Although the Registrar of Voters office will be closed Monday, vote centers will remain open so you can vote early. You can also cast your ballot at numerous Ballot Drop Stop locations around the County. Be sure to vote!

Alameda County Public Works Agency plans to resurface multiple roadways in Castro Valley from mid-April through May. The roadways include Redwood Road (Castro Valley Boulevard to Charlene Way), and the full lengths of Columbia Drive, Brecon Court, Independent School Road, Lobert Street, and Tanglewood Drive.

Work on Redwood Road will be performed at night, generally between 9:00 PM and 5:00 AM. Work on the other roadways will be performed during daytime hours, generally between 8:30 AM and 4:30 PM.
