McCullum Youth Court

McCullum Youth Court will be featured tomorrow at the Oakland Police Department Open House...If you are in the area, please stop by and support better relations between the Police and the Community. See below for more information:

On Friday, May 4th, the Oakland Police Department (OPD) will
open its doors to the community as it presents its first ever Open House Event at the Police Administration Building. Residents of Oakland will have an opportunity to meet the Chief of Police, members of his command staff, and other OPD personnel. “This is a great opportunity for members of the community to get a closer look at who we are and what we do,” said Chief Howard Jordan.

In addition to a performance by the Oakland School for the Arts Jazz Ensemble, activities include a performance by the OPD Motorcycle Drill Team, an art exhibit by the award winning McCullum Youth Court, and special recognition of Mr.Geoff Collins of the Oakland Police Foundation, co-sponsor of the event.

During the event, light refreshments will be served, and free parking will be available in the courthouse parking lot on 6th Street between Washington and Clay streets. The Chief went on to say, “Building lasting relationships with the community is one of my highest priorities, this is just one step in the right direction.”

Greetings tax payers and supporters of our community! It's that time of year again when students are going back to school, participating in their extracurricular activities and of course tax time! Are you looking to donate to a non-profit organization this tax season? Well why not donate to McCullum Youth Court! Your contribution will directly support the personal and professional development of at-risk youth and help promote the use of Restorative Justice within in Alameda County.

On December 3rd, 2011 Executive Director, Sean Duren, accepted the Charles Houston Bar Association Honorable Justice Clinton W. White Advocacy Award on behalf of McCullum Youth Court. The Black-tie event featured special remarks by a representative of the National Bar Association as well as Jon Streeter, President of the State Bar of California.

McCullum Youth Court would like to congratulate Lead Attorney, Jordan Holly, for being selected by the Above the Influence and Office National Drug Control Policy as a winner of the "Bring It" Activity to have her slogan, "Above complaining, always aiming" advertised in our area!
