The Mayor’s Commission on Persons with Disabilities (MCPD) represents and addresses the issues faced by people with disabilities.

This 15-member commission, established by City ordinance in 1980, is an appointed group of volunteers who are committed to integrating people with disabilities into all aspects of the community. At least 51% of the commission is composed of people with disabilities. Since 1990, the MCPD has acted as the City’s designated advisory body for ADA compliance. Responsibilities include:
