Portland Association of Teachers is pushing the Portland Public School District to once again amend the K-12 school year expectations to fit the pandemic climate.
Most notable of changes, if accepted, would switch high school students’ 8 hour school days to asynchronous virtual days, with 3 of those hours as teacher office hours. Additionally, elementary and middle school students would be allotted one 2 hour early release or late arrival per week.
