Richmond City Council adopted a public framework to guide spending, prioritizing everyday needs, long-term stability, and community input.The goal is to ensure these funds aren't rushed or wasted, but invested responsibly with transparency and accountability.

Richmond's $550 million settlement is a once-in-a-generation opportunity to invest in our community's future. This investment is about meeting people's everyday needs—safe streets, reliable city services, affordable housing—while also preparing for life after Chevron. We can invest in our local economy, reduce dependence on Chevron, and plan for a just transition.
