It’s been a year since we secured a historic legal victory over the Bureau of Prisons (BOP) with the leadership and organizing of courageous FCI Dublin survivors. For the first time in BOP history, a Consent Decree was put in place to ensure unprecedented oversight and enforceable protections for hundreds of people incarcerated in federal women’s prisons.
We’ve won a lot. We’ve struggled a lot. We’ve learned a lot. We continue to fight alongside people inside, to free survivors, and to block the potential reopening of the facility for ICE.
Join us Thursday 5/28 to learn more!

🗞️ FRESH OFF THE PRESS: Read CCWP member Jane Dorotik’s op-ed in the Sacramento Bee. She explains the reality of prison conditions and elder parole — and what motivated her to help produce our new report, No Time to Wait: A Case for Releasing Elders From California Women’s Prisons.

Please join us for a panel conversation about this groundbreaking new resource and hear from contributors about the participatory research process with people inside and outside.
Know Your Reproductive Rights in Prison is an essential guide for people incarcerated in women’s prisons and a powerful tool for advocacy, empowerment, and resistance across prison walls. Created by people who are or have been incarcerated and their advocates, this booklet offers accessible information about patient rights and the laws that protect them. The booklet also covers how to ask questions, self-advocate, and make informed healthcare decisions while in prison. Proceeds from the sale of the booklet will support the distribution of free copies to incarcerated people inside California women’s prisons.
