PARENT UPDATE, MAY 11-22, 2026

Dear Lincoln families,

Happy Mother’s Day to all mothers and their children. Thank you parents and guardians for supporting our teacher and staff appreciation luncheon and open house last week. Our students are making excellent academic and social growth through the efforts of our amazing teachers and staff and thanks to your encouragement and ongoing participation in school events and activities. Thank you for your partnership. Throughout the month of May, we recognize our teachers and staff, we celebrate AAPI Heritage Month and we encourage our students to practice kindness and empathy.

Our 3rd graders in Ms. Hung- Haas’s and Ms. Kusper’s classes received Gamelan training from Gamelen artists at Berkeley’s Gamelan Sekar Jaya. On May 8th, our 3rd graders put on a Gamelan performance during the school day, attended by their parents and by students and teachers in other classes. Many thanks to Ms. Hung- Haas for maintaining a partnership with Gamelan Sekar Jaya in Berkeley, which makes this learning experience possible for our students.

On Saturday, May 16, our PTO- Golden Dragon Project is putting on our annual spring fair featuring a student concert, face painting, swag item sales, refreshments and learning games and for families. Our hope is to bring learning games to all parent engagement events so our students continue to learn a lot and have a lot of fun.
