AIMS has been BUSY! 💙✨ Busy learning, busy celebrating, and busy having fun as a community.

From our first Black History Month event, to vibrant Lunar New Year celebrations, to our student athletes gearing up for the spring season, our school has been full of energy, pride, and connection.

We are proud to continue acknowledging and honoring our talented scholars for who they are: academically, athletically, and personally. Their dedication, creativity, and spirit make AIMS such a special place.

This Friday AIMS will be hosting a joyful Lunar New Year Potluck as we celebrate the year of the Fire Horse!

Students, families and staff are all welcome to come together for an evening of delicious food, cultural traditions and meaningful connections. Families are invited to bring a favorite dish to share that represents your culture or a beloved family tradition.
(Please include a label with the name of the dish and list of ingredients to keep everyone safe and informed. Please also help stay away from certain allergens such as nuts, dairy and pork. We also have students who are vegans, so please be mindful of that.)

We will enjoy festive decorations and hands-on activities. 🧧🎏🏮🎉

We look forward to coming together in a spirit of celebration, appreciation and community as we welcome a year of happiness, health and prosperity for all. ❤️💛

Celebrate Black History Month with an evening honoring the past, celebrating the present and envisioning the future.

This event will feature:
🏀 A special celebration of our tournament-winning basketball team
📚 Recognition of our Black scholars who achieved Level 4 in Math and/or ELA on the SBAC
💃 Student dance performances
🎤 Community poetry and musical performances
🍽️ Food and fellowship with members of the AIMS community

Come experience a colorful and powerful night filled with pride, talent, excellence and joy as we celebrate Black History that has been and Black History that is still being written.

💪 AIMS K–8 students learned all about physical therapy today!

🩻 Second- and third-year students from Samuel Merritt University led an interactive presentation on balance, stretching, and movement—teaching our students how the body works, how many muscles and bones we use every day, and why physical activity is so important.

🏋🏽‍♀️ Afterward, AIMS students put their learning into action with a fun workshop testing their balance and motor skills—first with eyes open, then closed! A huge thank-you to the Shoong Cultural Center for hosting us and to Samuel Merritt University for inspiring our students with hands-on learning about health, wellness, and the power of movement.

💛AIMS K–12 College Prep Charter District was a proud sponsor of The Unity Council’s 30th Annual Oakland Día de los Mu***os Festival! This year’s theme—“Aquí estamos y no nos vamos” (“Here we are, and here we stay”)—honored resilience, unity, and cultural pride.

🦅A huge thank you to our AIMS families and students who supported our booth and welcomed neighbors to learn more about joining the AIMS family. Parents and students led a hands-on activity helping kids craft paper cempasúchil (Mexican marigolds), while our Enrollment team connected with families about what they value in a K–12 school.
