HWY 26 @ the QUISKO CHITTO BRIDGE is CLOSED for the three small bridges to be replaced, and will be closed until August 2027. Alternate routes are Hwy 165, Hwy 112, & Hwy 377. Please use these routes to travel around this closure.

Update: Oakdale Drug Store Burglary

Detectives with the Allen Parish Sheriff's Office have identified the vehicle pictured below as a vehicle of interest in the Oakdale Drug Store Burglary. Anyone with information on who the owner of this vehicle is, or who was driving this vehicle on August 21, 2026 after midnight, Please contact Allen Parish Crime Stoppers.

SCAM ALERT!!

🚨 SCAM ALERT: JAIL MONEY CALLS 🚨
We’re seeing an increase in scams where callers pretend to be from a jail, sheriff’s office, or booking facility and claim a loved one has been arrested. They’ll pressure you to send money immediately for “bond,” “fees,” or “verification.”
These calls are fake. Law enforcement will never demand payment over the phone, through Cash App, Venmo, gift cards, or wire transfers.
If you receive a call like this:

Hang up immediately

Do NOT send money

Contact your local sheriff’s office directly to verify

Report the scam so others don’t fall victim

Stay alert and protect your family.

UPDATE ON OAKDALE DRUG STORE BURGLARY:

Allen Parish Crime Stoppers is now offering a $2,000 cash reward for information leading to the arrests of the persons responsible for this burglary. Surveillance footage shows that at approximately 0419 AM, two subjects enter the property from the North, cut the wire on the outside lighting and then proceeded to the Northwest corner of the building and gaining entrance through the exterior wall.

Anyone with information is encouraged to contact Crime Stoppers at 337-389-7001.

The Allen Parish Sheriff's Office and the Oakdale Police Department are working a Burglary that occurred at Oakdale Drug Store on the early morning hours of Friday, August 21,2026.

The Suspect or Suspect(s) gained entry into the Drug Store though the back of the store. Once inside of the building a large amount of pills were stole.

Escaped Inmate- APPREHENDED

Friends,
The escaped individual reported earlier today, has been APPREHENDED!!
This apprehension was due to the effort of the Allen Parish Sheriff's Office, in cooperation with the Kinder Police Department, Allen Correctional Chase team, and You the public.
