Happy Halloween! 👻🎃🧡

Whether you’re the cutest tiny trick‑or‑treater, a parent on candy‑patrol, a teen rocking the absolute coolest costume (we see you, Dracula 🧛‍♂️😎), or an adult who “accidentally” bought too much candy again… tonight is all about FUN.

Here are some goofy‑good reminders to keep the spooky vibes high and the mishaps low:
• Be a glowing ghoul: Add glow sticks or reflectors so drivers can see you. Nothing ruins a scare like not being seen. 👻
• Stick with your squad: Even vampires travel in groups. It’s the fang‑safe thing to do. 🧛‍♂️
• Cross the street like a pro: Look both ways. Don’t sprint like you’re chasing the last full‑size candy bar house. 🍬
• Drivers, beware: Tiny superheroes and sugar‑charged dinosaurs may appear out of nowhere. Slow down or face the wrath of the candy kingdom. 🦸
• No candy left behind: Parents, give treats a quick peek before the kiddos chow down. Quality control = essential. 🍫
• Eyes up, phones down: Teens, save the selfies for the sidewalk. Zombies walk slow, but kids don’t. 🧟‍♂️
• Be a nice ghoul: Share smiles, give compliments, and don’t be the monster who takes the whole candy bowl. 👺

Have a fun, safe, and magically spooky Halloween! May your candy buckets overflow and your costumes stay comfy. 🧡🦇🍭

Today we’re joining the Wisconsin Department of Transportation and safety partners across the state in recognizing Buckle Up Phone Down Day.

It’s a simple message that saves lives:
✅ Buckle Up
✅ Put the Phone Down

Distracted driving continues to be a major cause of crashes, and wearing a seat belt remains one of the most effective ways to protect yourself and your passengers if a crash occurs. 📵

This year, we encourage everyone to take the Buckle Up Phone Down Pledge and commit to making safe choices every time you get behind the wheel. 🚗

Remember:
• Every trip, every time, wear your seat belt
• Keep your eyes on the road and your hands on the wheel
• Put the phone away before you start driving
• Help set a positive example for family, friends, and other drivers

A quick text, notification, or scroll can wait. Your safety can't. Join us in making Wisconsin roads safer by taking the pledge and committing to Buckle Up, Phone Down.

Learn more and take the pledge here: https://www.wisconsindot.gov/BUPD

We took the pledge, and you can too! Together, we can save lives and keep our roads safe for everyone. 🛣💗

This Halloween, Don’t Let the Real Nightmare Start Behind the Wheel 🚗👻

Halloween is full of spooky fun, glowing pumpkins, and creative costumes — but impaired driving turns the night into something truly frightening. You’ll be haunted forever if you drink and drive this Halloween weekend. ☠️ Before the night gets spooky and the drinks start pouring, plan for a sober ride. 👻🚕

As you head out for Halloween events, trick‑or‑treating, or community celebrations, remember:
• Does your Halloween celebration involve indulging in a spooky cocktail or ghostly potion? 🍷🔮🧙 Leave the keys behind! Buzzed driving is drunk driving. 🍸🚫🚗
• Plan ahead. No Halloween villain is more frightening than a drunk driver. 🧟🍷 If alcohol is part of your Halloween celebration, plan ahead for a sober ride. 🚕
• Watch for pedestrians. Costumes, decorations, and low light make visibility tough. 🚸
• Slow down. Neighborhoods will be busy, especially during trick‑or‑treat hours. 🍬
• Stay alert. No distracted driving — keep eyes on the road and off your phone. 📵

Your drive home should never be the scariest part of your Halloween. Let’s keep Halloween fun, not frightening. Make smart choices, help protect your community, and ensure everyone gets home safely. 👻🧟‍♀️🧛‍♂️

Remember that seeing double means trouble if you’re behind the wheel. 👯 Even one drink can crash your Halloween party. Plan for a sober ride. Prevent the nightmare.

It’s School Bus Safety Week — Let’s Put Safety First! 🚦🚌

Every day, school buses carry our most precious little passengers. Whether they’re headed off for a day of learning or rolling back home in the afternoon, they rely on all of us—drivers, families, and community members—to help keep their journey safe. 🎒

Here’s how we can all make a difference:
• Stop means STOP. When the bus’s stop arm is out or red lights are flashing, traffic in both directions must come to a complete stop. No exceptions. 🛑
• Never pass a stopped bus. A few seconds of patience can prevent a lifetime of heartbreak. 🚫
• Watch for kids crossing. Children may cross unexpectedly—stay alert and avoid distractions. 🚶‍♀️
• Slow down in school zones and neighborhoods. Kids are unpredictable. Your caution keeps them safe. 🚸
• Give buses space. They make frequent stops, and drivers need extra room to see the road and the students around them. 🚌

Every school day, kids cross the street trusting drivers will do the right thing. Don't be the one who lets them down. Always stop when the stop-arm is out. 🚌🎒

School Bus Safety Week is a reminder that we all play a role in protecting children on their way to and from school. When you see that yellow bus, think safety, think responsibility, and remember our theme: Stop for the bus. Stop for the law. Stop for a child’s life. 🛑🚌

Thank you to our school bus drivers and transportation teams who work tirelessly to keep kids safe every day. Let’s support them by doing our part on the road. 💞
