🎀🚒 ODEM FIRE IS BACKING THE PINK! 🚒🎀

Our pink October logo is just the beginning! Odem Volunteer Fire Department is bringing the community into the effort with our Back the Pink shirt fundraiser. Join us in wearing pink, raising awareness, and supporting a cause that touches so many families. 💗

For every shirt sold, Odem Fire will donate $5 to Breast Friends of CBWF.

Breast Friends is a program of the Coastal Bend Wellness Foundation that provides free breast prostheses (breast forms), mastectomy bras, and personalized fittings for women who have undergone a mastectomy or lumpectomy due to breast cancer or other breast disease. These services are available regardless of income and help women feel comfortable and confident during their recovery. (breastfriendscbwf.org)

The program relies entirely on donations to provide these services. Your shirt purchase will help Odem Fire support this care for women in the Coastal Bend. 💗 (cbwellness.org)

At approximately 8:20 P.M., Odem Fire was dispatched to establish a landing zone near IH-37 and County Road 1441 following a two-vehicle accident.

One patient was transported by HALO-Flight for further medical care.

We would like to thank Odem EMS, the San Patricio County Sheriff’s Office, Texas DPS, and all responding personnel for their assistance and coordination on scene.

Please continue to use caution when approaching emergency scenes and give first responders plenty of room to work safely.

Today, the Odem Fire Department joins our nation in remembering the 2,977 innocent lives lost on September 11, 2001.

We honor the firefighters, law enforcement officers, EMS personnel, military members, and everyday citizens who showed extraordinary courage in the face of unimaginable tragedy. Many ran toward danger while others were running to safety, demonstrating the true meaning of service, sacrifice, and brotherhood.

Twenty-five years later, we continue to remember those who never made it home, the families whose lives were forever changed, and the first responders whose actions that day continue to inspire us.

May we never forget the lives lost.
May we never forget the heroes.
May we never forget the unity that brought our country together.
