Margaret Police Department Announces Arrest Following Months-Long Investigation

The Margaret Police Department has arrested 31-year-old Brandon McCormick following a months-long investigation. McCormick has been charged with possession of child po*******hy, child solicitation by computer, and transmitting obscene material to a child.

The Margaret Police Department would like to thank the Ragland Police Department, St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office and the St. Clair County District Attorney’s Office for their assistance in this investigation.

McCormick is being held at the St. Clair County Jail on a $300,000 bond.

All defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.

🚨 MISSING PERSON – PUBLIC ASSISTANCE REQUESTED 🚨

The Argo Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in locating a missing person, Christopher Wade Carroll.

Mr. Carroll was last seen at his residence in Argo, Alabama, on August 20, 2026.

Description is:

Age: Approximately 65 years old
Height: 5’11”
Weight: Approximately 180 pounds
Eyes: Blue
Hair: Sandy/gray

Anyone who has seen Mr. Carroll or has information regarding his whereabouts is asked to contact Detective Sanchez at 205-571-1134

Margaret Police Department Update on S. Hillcrest Road Dog Bite Incident

At the time of the incident, St. Clair County Animal Control was notified and responded in accordance with established procedures. The dogs involved have been placed under quarantine as required by Alabama law to ensure compliance with the state’s rabies observation requirements and to protect public health.

Following the investigation, the owner of the dogs has been charged with Alabama Code § 3-1-5, Permitting Dogs to Run at Large and has a scheduled court date.

The Margaret Police Department takes incidents involving aggressive animals seriously and will continue to work closely with St. Clair County Animal Control to ensure Alabama laws are enforced and the safety of our community remains a top priority.

As this is an active criminal case, no additional details will be released at this time. We appreciate the public’s understanding and cooperation as the judicial process moves forward.
