📢LISTEN GUYS 📢
🚨ITS IMPORTANT TO HAVE A WILL IN PLACE BEFORE SOMEONE DIES🚨. It’s really easy to steal someones goddam house, especially in this corrupt ass county 👀.
The headline reads: A local attorney/solicitor conspired with a retired court admin to steal tens of thousands of dollars from an inmate at VCP and her son when her husband died unexpectedly.
Attorneys have a reputation for being con men, but one Venango County lawyer would give Lionel Hutz second hand embarrassment. This multi-hat marauder swindled away the inheritance of a six year old boy who lost his father in 2015, and in many ways, lost his mom over the next decade too.
It’s called ♣️Good Ole BOYS Club ♣️in Venango for a reason. Women are rarely accepted, though often useful. This is one instance, a retired county employee (aka mother gothel) in need of probate guidance became a cash cow for a law firm we’ll call Dewey Cheetam & Howe, LLC. This 🤡Esq. saw mother gothel coming from a mile away. The estate in question was sizable. They were a middle class family and the man of the house provided a beautiful life to the widow and their son.
First, they needed sole legal control.
This 🤡Esq. asked this inmate to sign a
form relinquishing all rights to her husbands estate and name mother gothel as executor. The inmate asked the advice of her own PoA. He advised her to decline, and she did. Buuut the man of many hats filed an oath of representative naming mother gothel as legal representative of the decedent, despite the widows objection.
Next, mother gothel & 🤡Esq. filed a Grant of Letters which asks the court to allow her to act as the estate administrator. This is the first of several legal documents that omit the decedents rightful heirs, his wife and multiple children.
Soooo now mother gothel is in charge of everything. She’s legally obligated to liquidate assets and distribute the money between heirs. The main portion of the estate would be the home of the deceased, which he shared with his wife and son.
A private ♣️real estate ♣️appraiser estimated the value at $75,000.
How does it happen that a 4BR 2BA home on 4 acres of land appraised by ♣️a local real estate agent ♣️for $75K gets valued for $15,000 on the Grant of Letters, when market value is over $88K, then it ends up being sold for $58K…to the executor herself 🤔🧐?? So to recap: the executor, with a legal obligation to get fair market value for the estate she’s representing, buys the house that in today’s market is estimated at $100K+…at a substantial discount. The marital home was sold, and still the widow and child got nothing.
As the 6 year old boy approaches adulthood, our friend starts to ask questions. Like, ‘Hey where’s the real estate money for my kid?’ and ‘What happened to the tens of thousands of dollars worth of cars, tools, atvs, building equipment & supplies, furniture, antiques, electronics, and personal belongings that are gone?’ ‘Where is that money?’ ‘What is this renunciation form, I never signed that?’ and maybe most importantly; ‘Why has it been 11 years with no inheritance tax filed on the estate?’
That last question must’ve raised alarm bells for the attorney because he blocked our friend from communication. She filed a notice of claim, in an attempt to recoup some of the money for her son. I think she should try. I have a THEORY that there’s no money left and 🤡Esq. has moved on to bleeding another sizeable estate 🇮🇹🍕in town 🙊
Anyway, days before the son became an adult, 🤡Esq. acting as power of attorney for the ex court official, filed the inheritance taxes that were due in 2016. They’ve now devalued the estate to a negative balance…and sent the widow a notice to quit (aka eviction).
If any of you are interested, I have a Google Drive folder with a few select documents to view for yourselves regarding this portion of the story.
This inmate,🤘our friend, has lost everything, repeatedly. She always has and will forever brush herself off and soldier on- but this time it’s her kid who lost out. That’s a lot harder to sit with 💔. If there’s a lesson to be learned, that’s enough moral justice for her. Legally, her husbands children (those who resided with him and those who did not) are entitled to their fair share of their dads estate. He was a loving father whose wishes were to provide for his family- especially his kids. That was stolen from all of them. Our friend is gonna fight back, this is far from over. She has a team behind her now 🖤. Send her lots of positive vibes- we wanna keep reminding her that what happened to her was wrong and more importantly, fraudulent. She’s the victim of a crime and we’re here to help her navigate this incredibly complex situation.
