We’re excited to share that the Washington State Public Works Board has recognized multiple Okanogan County communities in it’s latest funding cycle. Brewster, Okanogan, the Oroville-Tonasket Irrigation District, and Omak all received support for important local infrastructure projects. Full details in the post below. ⬇️
The Washington Public Works Board awarded $214 million in grants and low-interest loans to 65 local governments for construction, pre-construction, flood resilience, and emergency projects.
These awards will help protect public health and safety, plan for growth, improve resilience, and restore habitats.
One community improving its resilience is the City of Long Beach. Its pre-construction award is a major step to updating the city’s water system for its long-term needs.
