Earlier this month, Vicki Wheeler and Audrey Kuipers attended the Florida Association of Special Districts (FASD) Education and Leadership Workshop. Mrs. Kuipers serves on the FASD Board of Directors, representing Soil and Water Conservation Districts across Florida and advocating on their behalf at the state level.

The workshop provided valuable professional development opportunities for both attendees. Ms. Wheeler completed coursework toward certification as a District Administrative Professional, while Mrs. Kuipers continued her professional development as a Certified District Manager.

Throughout the week, participants engaged in a variety of educational sessions covering topics such as the impacts of Amendment 3 on local governments and special districts, leadership and team-building exercises, and discussions exploring the benefits and challenges associated with the use of Artificial Intelligence in the public sector.
