A Little Kindness for Our Furry Friends!

I had the pleasure of dropping off the blankets made with love by our Senior Center members and Okemos High School ACTION Club students at the Ingham County Animal Control and Shelter!

The blankets are a wonderful example of what can happen when generations come together to make a difference. The shelter staff were so appreciative of the thoughtful gifts for their furry friends waiting for their forever homes!

A big THANK YOU to everyone who helped make this project possible. Your kindness will help bring a little extra warmth and comfort to some very deserving animals!

Welcome Back, Amanda!

We’re happy to welcome Amanda from Daudi & Kroll, P.C. back to the Senior Center!

Amanda will be joining us on the third Tuesday of each month at 10:30 AM for a Q&A session where members can ask questions and get general legal information.

We’re glad to have Amanda back and look forward to seeing you at our upcoming sessions! 😊

Making a Difference, One Blanket at a Time! ❤️🐾

Our ACTION students and Senior Center members teamed up for a heartwarming Community Service project to make blankets for furry friends waiting for their forever homes! 🐶🐱

These handmade blankets will bring a little extra comfort and warmth to animals staying at the shelter while they wait for their loving families to find them.

A big thank you to everyone who shared their time, talents, and caring hearts to make this project possible! It’s wonderful to see generations working together to make a difference in the lives of others, including our four-legged friends!

Our group had a great time using their hands to create beautiful air dry clay art pieces. They will be painting them this Thursday, we can’t wait to see the finished product.
