The wildly popular Drone / UAS Part 107 Commercial Pilot Ground School class has been added to this year's schedule!
Drone certification, also known as a Remote Pilot Certificate or Part 107 license, is an official designation for drone pilots from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). You need to pass the Part 107 drone certification exam to get the license.
Passing the Part 107 exam demonstrates that you have a good understanding of airspace regulations and safety protocols. This prepares you to fly safely in accordance with FAA policy. This course will prepare you to take the FAA Part 107 test. The test is not included in this course, but you will learn where and how to take the exam.
This training prepares candidates for the Part 107 Remote Pilot Test.
-This is the Unmanned Aerial Systems license needed to fly UAS (drones) commercially.
-Included in this training is instruction on UAS History, Rules, Weather, Air Space, Flight Dynamics, Flight Controls, Crew Resource Management, Communications, and Operations.
-Completion of this training DOES NOT grant you a Part 107 Certificate but equips you with the knowledge to pass the test.
-Included in the training is the process and locations needed to take the test for your FAA Remote Pilot Certificate.
This is a 24-hour training, and once training is complete, trainees are encouraged to test as soon as possible. There is no skills test for the Part 107 Certificate, only the knowledge test.
As always, this class is free to Oklahoma First Responders. Get registered NOW! This class will fill!

We are honored to announce our keynote speaker: Kyle Carpenter, Medal of Honor recipient and retired U.S. Marine.
At just 20 years old, while serving as a Marine rifleman in Afghanistan, Kyle made a split second decision that saved a life of a fellow Marine-throwing himself on a live gr***de during a Taliban attack. After years of recovery, dozens of surgeries, and unimaginable adversity, Kyle emerged with a powerful message about leadership, resilience, purpose, and what it truly means to serve others. In 2014, he became the youngest living recipient of the Medal of Honor.
Kyle is also the author of You Are Worth It: Building A Life Worth Fighting For and host of the Kyle Carpenter Podcast. His story is inspiring and deeply relevant to the first responder community.
