Thank you to my many supporters and to the people of Oklahoma County for the opportunity to serve you for the past 16 years. Although I am not certain of my next step, I do believe that God has a plan ahead for me and I will continue to trust in him. I attempted to reach out to Judge-elect Singleton by messenger last night, and I wished her well.
Again, thank you and God bless Oklahoma County.

Early voting has ended and I had the chance to greet many Oklahoma County voters at the election board. With the help of some new friends, Chris Delaney and Dis Ellis (see picture} Chaunte Hubbard, Terry Williams and Paula Jaisrie-Brown, we were able to get the message out. Friday tested some resolve by standing out in the rain!

Judge Kirby was a project leader along with representatives of law enforcement agencies from across Oklahoma, the Highway Patrol, and the Oklahoma Association of Broadcasters in the implementation of the Amber Plan (Amber Alert System) in Oklahoma, the first state to implement the Amber Plan statewide.

After early voting ended on Saturday, Jane and I had the opportunity to attend the St. Elijah Food Festival for a to-go lunch (cabbage rolls – yummy!) We were greeted by one of Oklahoma County’s better attorneys, Tamer Shawareb (picture 1) – we were guided through the selections by a new friend Craig Abraham (picture 2), we met with the wise men of St Elijah (hello Danny and Tony Shadid – picture 3) and had a chance to meet the Father John Salem, who just so happens to be a huge fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers (See picture 4). He has a Terry Bradshaw Rookie Card!
This church is lucky to be led by Father John (he does a great impersonation of his Father-in Law), and have a congregation of some of the nicest people around, and many new supporters, I hope.

After spending the past 2 days on the campaign trail and at the early voting for Oklahoma County, I had the opportunity to attend the March of Dimes Heros in Action awards ceremony as a guest ( #180) of the Dye family, who sponsored an award for the evening in honor of Keith McGill. Keith was an outstanding attorney and an even better human being that we recently lost far too early in his life.
Keith was a dedicated servant of the March of Dimes, serving on their Board of Directors and even completing two terms as the Board Chairman. To hear the Dye family talk about Keith reminded me of the light he could bring to a difficult day. He was a perfect match for the March of Dimes, and the work they do to honor Nurses across our state.
I have been lucky to be married to a Hero for the past 40 years who has served as a Hero in Action as a RN, a Charge Nurse, a Nurse Educator among other roles that keeps me in awe of her each day. As the father of a special needs child, I know the struggles that many of these families face and how important these heros are to the people they serve.
Thank you March of Dimes for honoring these heros for the work they do and thank you to the Dye family.
