Expeditionary communications Air Commandos from across the globe are responsible for the success of special operations missions. The Air Force Special Operations Command continues to adapt and shape these Airmen through a tactical communicator course to be equipped with the skillset and equipment necessary for any scenario. After all, the set up is where missions are won or lost.
“We want to simulate that front heaviness every time. Every day we are breaking it down, pulling it back in. The next morning we are putting it back out,” remarked a 137th SOW course instructor.

Trained and equipped!
Air Commandos from the 137th Special Operations Wing instructed and attended the Air Force Special Operations Command tactical communicator course hosted at Will Rogers Air National Guard Base. The course brought together expeditionary communicators from across AFSOC. From setting up radios and programming satellite communication to practicing fieldwork, tactical communicators were trained on the latest AFSOC equipment to be mission-ready Air Commandos.

During Sentry South 26-2, 137th Special Operations Wing medical specialists worked with partners in the Mississippi National Guard to treat combat casualties during a simulated strike. After being flown into an auxiliary air field by UH-60 Black Hawks, the patients were moved to an TMT60 medical tent and treated to be in a stable condition.

Always Remember.
On April 19, 1995, the bombing of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building forever changed Oklahoma and its people. Among many of the first responders were Oklahoma Guardsmen who assisted in the rescue and recovery process. and thank all who served and volunteered to help during that tragic time. It was their efforts that helped forge the that is known today.

💜April is the month of the Military child! 💜
During April drill, the 137th Special Operations Wing celebrated military kids by letting them take on the Diamond Fitness Challenge. This course was designed to test the mental and physical toughness of service members and the kiddos were up to the challenge.
Month of the military child is dedicated to recognizing the unique sacrifices that children of service members have to make every year. It gives us a time to give back to them and celebrate the resilience they show when the nation calls.
