BIGiOK is proud to be recognized nationally for the work being done to serve Oklahoma’s independent insurance community.

The Independent Insurance Agents of Oklahoma received the **Membership Champion Award** from the Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of America, recognizing our commitment to member engagement, relationship-building and delivering meaningful value to agencies across the state.

Our philosophy is simple: **relationships, not renewals.** From visiting more than half of our 350-plus member agencies in person to expanding education, advocacy, professional development and networking opportunities, our goal is to make membership valuable every day.

We’re also proud of the BIG I Oklahoma Young Agents Committee, which earned two national awards at the 2026 IIABA Young Agents National Conference: **Community Service & Charitable Giving** and the **Meeting Award** for its 2025 Young Agents Conference.

These honors reflect the hard work of our members, volunteers, partners and staff who continue to strengthen Oklahoma’s independent insurance industry.

“The Character Clause: Ethics, Sports, and the Business of Winning Right” This engaging and thought-provoking ethics course challenges insurance professionals to consider the connection between character, performance, and leadership. Using analogies from college athletics and examples from real-world business, participants will examine how pressure and culture influence ethical decision-making and personal leadership. Through personal reflection, worksheet activities, and the creation of their personal Character Clause, learners will leave equipped to act with integrity, even when the stakes are high.
