Proud to be a coauthor on SB1217 and help get this across the finish line, which has now been signed by the Governor into Oklahoma law.

As both a State Senator and a real estate broker, I know many in the real estate industry have been following changes tied to the NAR settlement and buyer brokerage agreement requirements.

SB1217 clarifies Oklahoma law by stating brokers are not required by state law to have a signed brokerage agreement before showing property, while still allowing brokerages to establish their own policies if they choose.

Effective November 1, 2026.

Yesterday I had the honor of attending two ceremonial bill signings with Governor Stitt.

HB2123 was a major win for Bixby and our region. This bill updates existing law to allow more flexibility for a future Arkansas River bridge crossing near Bixby and creates additional funding opportunities through OTA that can help move this project forward. I was proud to coauthor and help push this legislation across the finish line alongside Senator John Haste and Representative Mark Tedford. This is another important step toward making an additional river crossing a reality.

I also attended the signing of HB1168, the Anti Chemical Abortion Pill Trafficking Act. Representative Denise Crosswhite Hader and Senator David Bullard led this effort, and I was proud to stand with them as a coauthor. From day one, I promised to fight for the unborn, and I will continue speaking up for those who cannot speak for themselves.

Two different bills. Two important wins for Oklahoma.

Spent my birthday today speaking on a legislative panel at the OCPAC luncheon in OKC. I definitely wasn’t expecting the entire room to break out and sing Happy Birthday to me, but I sure appreciated it.

I came to the Capitol today ready to do the work for the people back home. Unfortunately, just like the past week, there was no agenda posted and no opportunity to move legislation forward.

Still grateful for another year, good friends, and the opportunity to serve Senate District 25.

Today, we remember the 168 lives lost in the Oklahoma City bombing, and honor the survivors, families, and first responders. We will never forget. We remain committed to upholding the values of unity, service, and resilience that define Oklahoma.

It was an honor to host the Leadership Bixby team and the Bixby Chamber at the Capitol.

Bixby continues to thrive because of leaders like this who work every day to support small businesses, strengthen our community, and advocate for the future of Bixby.

I was also glad to see my good friend Courtney Brown, manager of Harps Foods, at the Capitol as well. Courtney and so many others are making a real difference in our community.

Thank you to Leadership Bixby and the Bixby Chamber for everything you do to make Bixby such a great place to live, work, and raise a family.

Grateful to stand on the Capitol steps this week and take part in the Bible Reading Marathon, where God’s Word is read nonstop from Genesis to Revelation.

Also honored to be recognized as a Defender of Biblical Business principles.

Our state needs leadership rooted in truth, integrity, and conviction. When those are absent, it’s clear. I’ll continue to stand for those values in how I serve Oklahoma.
