Summer is full of opportunities to learn through play! ☀️🌈

For children ages 0–5, everyday activities like reading together, exploring nature, singing songs, sorting objects, drawing with chalk or helping in the kitchen help build important skills for future success.

The best part? Learning doesn’t have to look like a classroom. Simple moments of curiosity, creativity and connection can support your child’s growth all summer long.

What’s your child’s favorite way to learn and play during the summer? ⬇️

Investing in Oklahoma's youngest learners starts by investing in those who care for them.

This week, OPSR welcomed 196 child care owners and directors from across the state for a two-day Conscious Discipline training focused on strengthening relationships, supporting behavioral development, and creating positive learning environments for children.

Together, we're building a stronger early childhood system—one classroom at a time. 💙

A trip to the park can be more than just playtime! 🌳

Born Learning Trails are free, interactive outdoor paths designed to help parents and caregivers turn everyday moments into early learning opportunities for kids ages 0-5. Bilingual signs along the trail guide families through simple games that build language literacy and social skills.

Oklahoma families can visit trails at three locations:

📍Lake Ponca | 1688 L.A. Cann Dr., Ponca City

🔺🟦 🟡 Shapes are everywhere, and they’re one of your child’s first math lessons!

Exploring shapes builds the early math foundation kids need to succeed later in both math and reading. Helping them learn is easier than you think!

Just point out what you see as you move through your day together, like counting the sides of a stop sign. Simple moments, big impact. 🌟
