One way that our Variety Care WIC Breastfeeding Peer Counselors (BFPCs) close the gap is that they reach out to prenatal moms just before they deliver their babies and make sure moms are prepared for their hospital experience. They make sure that our moms feel empowered to advocate for themselves and their newborns when it comes time to breastfeed in the hospital. We love our Variety Care WIC BFPCs & International Board Certified Lactation Consultants (IBCLCs)!
