Shout out to McAlester Public Library for offering this opportunity to their teens! This is what libraries are about...community, learning, life skills, friends, and fun!

What do I enjoy about the library besides books? Hmmm...so many things! Baby story/play time, kids' programs, fun presenters, teen activities, creative staff who come up with the best ideas!

Libraries do more than lend books. 📚

🤝They bring people together, spark creativity, and open doors to new possibilities.

🧪From STEM activities and cooking classes🥄 to gaming events🕹, community gardens🌿, and even tai chi—libraries offer something for everyone.

What do you enjoy at your library besides books?

I wish you were all here with me today…at the Guthrie Public Library for their annual Cheesecake Contest! A big thank you to Guthrie for inviting me to be a celebrity judge. 😊😋

Good Summer Reading Road Trip to Enid! I attended baby story time with some of the cutest and smartest tiny humans around (with their parents and one big brother!) Then in the afternoon, it was time for a Breath Painting program for kids and grownups. We learned about paint, thickness, air and its movement, force, and color. So much learning wrapped in a fun activity! Mrs. Susan is amazing. 😊

No matter where you are in Oklahoma, there is a public library near by with fun activities and books to share! (And it's cool in there too...whew! It finally got hot outside!) 🥵📖🩵

You, too, can beat the heat by hanging out at your local Pioneer Library System branch this summer. 😎🌞

We have all sorts of events going on, so not only will you beat the heat, you can also beat boredom! 🤭

Remember to stay hydrated, and happy Monday, friends!

Way to go, Western Plains Library System! That is a LOT of reading and learning!

This summer, you helped us color our world through reading! At the beginning of the summer, we set a community wide reading goal of 350,000 minutes, and not only did we meet that goal, but we surpassed it by 269%! 🎉

Thank you to everyone who joined in on the challenge to help us meet our goals! We can't wait to see what the future holds!

Yesterday's road trip took me only a little way from home, to Purcell! Purcell Public Library and Pioneer Library System hosted the Lyric Theatre of Oklahoma's Sound of Music Interactive program. It was great! We learned about Maria von Trapp and her family, and the real story vs. the musical version. The kids got to participate and help present the musical, and we all had fun! They packed a lot of learning, music, movement, and fun into a 30 minute program.
