Upward Transitions Upward Transitions is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that has been serving the Central Oklahoma community for more than 100 years.

The organization assists those experiencing homelessness or at risk of homelessness. Upward Transitions serves those experiencing homelessness or at risk of homelessness through eviction by providing case management and stabilizing resources to meet basic social needs. The ultimate goal is to assist individuals and families to reach their potential with the ability to support themselves and contribute back to their community. Upward Transitions is committed to community development and advocacy for families and individuals experiencing poverty, crisis, and homelessness.

The world already produces enough food to nourish everyone, yet 645 million people still face hunger, and 2.69 billion cannot afford a healthy diet. As conflict, economic instability and climate shocks put pressure on agrifood systems, the challenge is how to ensure access to reliable, affordable and nutritious food for people everywhere. World Food Day works to foster innovation can build agrifood systems that are more stable, more inclusive and more resilient — capable of nourishing people today while protecting the resources future generations depend on.

Justin: An Upward Transitions' Client Victory Story:

Justin now has his own permanent form of transportation and is saving money for when he is ready to move out of temporary housing.

Earlier this year, his Pivot case manager referred Justin to Upward Transitions for the new Hope Flyers program, made possible through a partnership with Drop Mobility and funding from United Way of Central Oklahoma's Wayfinder Innovation Grant.

Justin was struggling to get to and from work and to run personal errands and shop for groceries as his bike needed repairs frequently.

Upward Transitions loaned him an electric bike to use free-of-cost so he could go to work and take care of his personal needs while saving money for more reliable, permanent transportation. Within a few months with guidance from his Upward Transitions case manager, he had saved enough to purchase new, reliable transportation of his own and saved additional funds for his future.

You amaze us, Justin!

Upward Transitions encourages our supporters and friends and all Oklahomans to remember to vote in the November 3, 2026, general election.

To be informed and prepare, find the sample ballot here: https://okvoterportal.okelections.gov/

On Election Day, Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2026, polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. You can find your polling place and sample ballot through the OK Voter Portal.

Early voting will be available October 28-31 at your county’s designated early voting location. The deadline to request absentee ballots is Monday, Oct. 19.

Mailed absentee ballots must be received by your County Election Board no later than 7:00 p.m. on election night. Hand-delivered absentee ballots must be received by your County Election Board no later than the close of business on the Monday before the election.

Your vote is your power. Be heard!
